Working with government
Impetus-PEF and education charity The Sutton Trust manage the £135 million Education Endowment Foundation, established by the Secretary of State for Education, to boost attainment of some of the country’s most disadvantaged children.
Impetus-PEF, along with the Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust and the Social Research Unit, has been awarded a £17.5 million contract by the Department of Health, aimed at scaling up the Family Nurse Partnership (FNP) National Unit, allowing it to reach 16,000 young and disadvantaged mothers by 2015, by offering tailored help and specialist support from nurses.
We are a recipient of the Social Action Fund (SAF), a Cabinet Office programme designed to inspire organisations to create new social action opportunities; encouraging people to give what they have, be it time, money, assets, knowledge or specific skills.
We are using our SAF funding to create high-value opportunities for staff and our corporate partners to get involved with our portfolio of charities – often for the first time. Volunteers are enabled to use their experience and insights to develop the strategies our organisations need to diversify their incomes, strengthen their activities, and build their sustainability. We aim for these opportunities to create a culture within corporations of employees “giving what they’re good at”.
Impetus-PEF is an approved provider for the Government’s Investment and Contract Readiness Fund (ICRF). The Fund is managed by The Social Investment Business on behalf of the Office for Civil Society and aims to ensure social ventures are better equipped to secure new forms of investment and compete for public service contracts.
As an approved provider, Impetus-PEF will help innovative organisations increase their capacity to deliver social impact through the ICRF. We know that many of these organisations have the potential to scale up their reach through participation in public service contracts. With our expert support they can acquire the experience and skills required to expand into this market.
Please note that Impetus-PEF only works with the social enterprises and charities in its active portfolio with regards to ICRF funding, and does not accept external applications.
