Director of Philanthropy & Partnerships

Teams: Philanthropy team and Senior Management team
Duration: Full-time
Location: Central London, NW1 1BU; occasional home working available.
Salary: in the region of £90,000
Reporting to: CEO
Line manages: (2) Senior Philanthropy Managers, Events Manager and
Associate Philanthropy Manager.
Key relationships: All Philanthropy team members. All other Impetus-PEF staff. Senior Management Team (SMT), Trustees and high level volunteers, donors, senior representatives of grant-making trusts, business and high profile individuals.

Impetus-PEF is looking for an inspirational leader, to manage its high-performing philanthropy team of nine. The role will require a commercially-minded, motivated, strategic thinker with proven experience of income-generation, and developing and sustaining effective relationships at Board, Chief Executive, and donor level. The new Director of Philanthropy & Partnerships is responsible for developing and implementing a strategy that grows our income across a variety of streams (philanthropic, sponsorship, events and grant funding) that are crucial to our work and that of the 20+ charities on our portfolio. The vital role will be responsible for annual income targets starting at £5 million.

Head of Communications – maternity cover (one year)

Team: Public Affairs
Duration: Full-time, 13.5 months (start Mon 6 March to Fri 14 April 2018)
Location: Central London, NW1 1BU
Salary: £42,000
Reporting to: Director of Public Affairs
Line manages: Communications Associate, PR Manager (part-time)
Key relationships: All members of the communications team, all other Impetus-PEF staff, trustees, journalists and suppliers / agencies.

We are looking for an agile and highly experienced communications professional to manage the communications function during a period of maternity leave. You will be responsible for delivering Impetus-PEF’s communications strategy and plans and managing our communications team and associated contractors. You will work to position the charity as a leader in our field among policymakers, social sector leaders, media and funders.
